One of the missing links of the Miami river walk is now complete.
An aerial photograph taken by Golden Dusk Photography appears to show that the river walk behind the Aston Martin Residences site is now open.
With the newly completed section open, pedestrians can now walk along the bay and river from Museum Park to South Miami Avenue. At that point, the river walk is once again missing a section at the One River Point site.
The Aston Martin Residences sales center appears to be nearly ready to open, according to Golden Dusk.

I’m new to Miami and just been here about a few months. This means that we can walk all of downtown through that particular sidewalk on the photo? correct ? from Miami river all the way to bayside and all the way to museum park where the science museum was just built ?
Yes, correct.
Great, lets just make sure the security guards on the site allow people to use it, they tried telling me it was private property last week while I was on a jog… LOL
it is public property…
I assume this is temporary. I can’t imagine the walkway being open during construction of the tower when and if that ever happens.
Yes!
Avant at Met square is going to have a great view… Of the Aston Martin building.. lol
Ok now time to pressure land holders/have the city co-fund it so it can continue up the river to at least 2nd ave
One of the problems with this new riverwalk is that the view of the bay closest to the Epic hotel is blocked by a very tall hedge covering up an electrical box/grid. Another problem is that the portion that connects to the One Miami baywalk doesn’t flow directly into the One Miami old baywalk, you have to go down a ramp to make the connection. Despite the fact that it took them forever to open it to the public, overall, it’s much better than what was there before.
Even though its not my money, it hurts to see the Argentinians paid $125 million for the tiny sliver of land. I feel really bad for them. Now they are trying to recoup that money but I doubt if they ever can.
What’s better about this location than say another in Brickell?
Don’t worry about them, they will recoup their investment and then some, this is a prime location, 125M well spent.
Why is it a prime location?
Epic will have glorious blank wall facing its majestic lobby lol!
Epic Hotel Lobby opens up to the river and Zuma, and Epic Condo Lobby doesn’t even have windows…what are you talking about??
Nice spin there. You know that what anonymous mentioned is true. Doesn’t take away from Epic being an incredible hotel with amazing restaurants. Zuma is my favorite restaurant in Miami <3
It will still be riverfront at the end of the day. When Miami is build up, it’s a wonderful location. Under current Miami conditions, Kimpton might try to divest the property to another hotel (bearing restrictions to condo owners), however 2025 Miami conditions dictate it will be a location dead center between two metro neighborhoods.
good news. what is happen with the delayed One River Point…are sales progressing?
Soon I am sure they will report that the project is closing until next cycle.
It’s basically sold out. Just 90% left to go! LOL
I highly doubt that.

Cool! Same needs to happen on Biscayne Bay in Edgewater.
Waiting…
